How does your artwork reflect your exploration of this question visually? I took a picture of my mother holding a candle in a dark room to get a strong contrast between the light and the dark. Yiyang Hu Prof.Robson AP Art 1/20/2020 1. What is the question guiding your art making? How to draw chiaroscuro in just black and white?    2. How does your artwork reflect your exploration of this question visually?   I took a picture of my mother holding a candle in a dark room to get a strong contrast between the light and the dark. After that I edited this original photo in black and white in order to see the difference between each layer more clearly. First of all, I drew a rough outline of my mom’s face with a pencil. Then l divided the light and the darkness of  her face into three levels. The first is the brightest, the second is the medium and the third is the darkest. 3. How did practice, experimentation, and/or revision play a role in the making of this piece? Cause I only used black watercolor for the whole painting so I practice color toning on another piece of paper in order to make one color with different shades.
